Speed Art Museum

The Speed Art Museum is located in downtown Louisville off South 3rd Street near the University of Louisville. It is considered Kentucky’s oldest and largest art museum. The art museum offers permanent art exhibits, various educational programs, immersive art experiences, events and Speed Cinema screenings which typically are not included in the general admission tickets. BRICK participants found the staff to be friendly, helpful and nice. The cafe had a nice variety of food but the gluten free options were limited.

They have wheelchairs to use so that people can focus on looking at art instead of walking and balancing
There are QR codes to access the map of the museum so that you can look at it on your phone and enlarge it as needed
Parking is in a garage next to the museum. The parking garage has 3 elevators and accessible parking spots. It’s a short walk to the museum.
Staff is nice, friendly and helpful
Limited gluten free options at the cafe, but otherwise a good variety of food
